"I was searching for a book that could address my needs and I searched Amazon and found this one. I am a busy Reader in the Church of England working in a Ministry area which is on the periphery of church. I work in a Psychiatric Hospital as a pastoral care listener. I support ex-offenders in their return into everyday life and also in a Socio-economically deprived parish where there is little or no support but lots of criticism and finger pointing by other areas of society and in many cases church membership within the Deanary. I found this book illuminating, challenging and very supportive in a field of isolated ministry which enabled me to explore a framework which could draw others, in similar ministry, into fellowship. This has now happened. The book addressed many of the unmet needs faced in ministry."

- I'm looking forward to working through this book with my best friend. While I am not in traditional "spiritual" ministry, I do a lot of informal counseling and coaching and see my work with teens as full-time ministry. While there are 52 chapters designed for a chapter a week, my friend and I are probably going to do 2 chapters per week as our life / job cycle switches in 6 months.
