"I absolutely love this book! It arrived a few days ago and I read it right away. Michael Ray Fitzgerald has written a wonderful tribute to Northeast Florida’s rich musical history.
He shares his take on what happened to the area’s music industry - home to many of the greats. He also documents the musicians and their tributes to the Northeast Florida’s musical legacy.
He is the perfect person to do so. Having heard him perform many, many times, I have to admit (as a musician) that he’s brilliant in his own right. He’s one of the most talented musicians I’ve ever heard.
What’s taking place in the industry? What’s replacing the days when radio could make or break an act? As FitzGerald puts it, maybe it’s YouTube or other internet channels. “Then again, who the hell knows?†This is a must read for music lovers anywhere. Bravo, Mr. Fitzgerald!"
